please consider these care recommendations.

pottery care

Most pieces are food, microwave, and dishwasher safe. If a piece is not, it will be indicated otherwise in the product description.

If the dishwasher is your cleaning method of choice, place pieces with care to ensure they do not rattle around to help prevent breakage. However, it is highly recommended to handwash the item to help the piece last longer since detergents can have an abrasive and dulling effect over time.

keep proportions in mind when using the microwave. If you use a large bowl to heat up a small amount of food, the microwave can create pockets of heat throughout the piece which may lead to weakening or cracking. In general, ceramics can provide even heat distribution leading to more evenly heated food. This also means that the piece itself may heat up in the microwave and caution should be used when removing it from the appliance.

when using the oven, it’s important to bring the piece to temperature with the oven to prevent cracking.

Be careful when moving a piece from one extreme temperature to another. Exposing the piece to extreme rise and fall of temperature may cause it to crack. Don’t worry, pouring hot tea into a room temperature mug is not enough of a temperature shock to cause this!
